St. George area welcomed record number of sporting event participants in 2017, creating an economic impact of more than $78 million

Healthy competition has been good for the economy in Washington County. In 2017, 42 major athletic events brought more than 62,000 participants and over 116,000 out-of-town visitors to the area.
